Central Illinois Security (CIS) is an established Alarm Installation and Monitoring Company.Central Illinois Security (CIS) is seeking a Central Station Operator to join our Central Station Team Monday through Friday in Springfield, IL.In this role, you will be a front-line representative for CIS working Monday through Friday (7 AM-3PM or 8 AM-4PM). This is a 24/7/365 facility, which will require weekend availability and occasional holidays.The compensation package includes an hourly wage + paid overtime, paid time off, double pay for holidays (applicable if you work on the holiday), full benefits, and 401k matching. Other perks of this position would include access to our 24-hour health club onsite and a casual work environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromptly responding to alarms by making phone calls to businesses and homeownersNotifying appropriate authorities in emergency situationsProfessionally and efficiently answering incoming calls on a multi-line phone systemProviding excellent customer serviceRouting calls to appropriate extension/personnelTaking accurate and detailed messagesAssisting with invoice mailingsGreeting visitors via video intercomCandidate RequirementsOnce you have been hired, you must obtain a PERC card, which will require fingerprinting and background checks at both the state and federal levels.
