Springfield IL | Full-time Central Illinois Security, CIS, an established Alarm Installation and Monitoring Company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Service Technician. The compensation package includes hourly wages, overtime, paid time off, company vehicle, expense reimbursement, and healthcare plans. You will also ensure that your work follows relevant codes. You seek a long-term employment relationship and have experience servicing burglar alarms, fire alarms, closed-circuit television, and access control systems. We are expanding our geographic reach so this candidate could reside in the Springfield or Decatur area. Job Tasks Examine systems to locate problems, such as loose connections or broken insulation. Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features to ensure proper functioning and diagnose malfunctions. Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, or video cameras and attach electrical and telephone wiring to connect components. Service, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans. Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets; then position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping. Adjust the sensitivity of units based on room structures and manufacturers’ recommendations using programming keypads. Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications. Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, or floors. Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms. Prepare documents, such as invoices or warranties. Consult with clients to assess risks and determine security requirements. Order replacement parts. Keep informed of new products and developments. Mount raceways and conduits and fasten wires to wood framing using staplers. Applicant Requirements: Two years' experience in Security Systems, Fire Alarms, CCTV, or Card Access. Will Accept Two Years of Experience with HVAC, electronics, or construction will also be considered. Valid driver’s license. Successfully pass a background screening and drug testing. Must be able to lift cable spools weighing 30 pounds. Flexible to work some evenings and weekends. Networking experience is a plus but not required. Central Illinois Security is seeking a full-time Account Executive to join our growing security company in Central Illinois. The security Account Executive will generate new residential and commercial business. We are expanding the solutions/services and as an Account Executive, you will design and sell solutions and services that include home/business automation, security, fire protection, video surveillance, access control, remote monitoring, and more. This position can be based in Springfield or remotely based in the Decatur area after the completion of a training period. You will be paid a base salary and commission. Duties and responsibilities will include: Meet with families and businesses to discuss and advise them on CIS’ full suite of solutions and services. Generate leads and appointments through prospecting activities and create and nurture sales opportunities. Establish and develop mutually beneficial relationships with existing clients to obtain referrals to develop into new sales. Inspect and review physical premises and design solutions in accordance with client needs. Prepare documents according to guidelines. Close sales and offer exceptional customer service and follow-up. Monitor job progress and demonstrate system operation during a final “walk-through” with clients. Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas. Sell additional products to existing customers. Maintain an in-depth knowledge base of product lines, services, and customer needs through training and research. Candidate Requirements: Two years experience in a B2C or B2B sales role. One year experience working in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Effective communication skills.
